The Impact Aluminum Mid-Range Boom Arm is designed for positioning speedlights, LED fixtures, reflectors, light shapers, and other lightweight photography or studio lighting equipment above or away from a light stand.

Its three-section aluminum boom adjusts from 26 to 59.8 inches, providing flexible positioning while remaining compact for transport. At maximum extension, the arm supports equipment weighing up to 5 lb.

A heavy-duty pivot clamp with a ratcheting handle provides controlled, secure angle adjustment and mounts to light stands through a 5/8-inch receiver. The included reversible 5/8-inch stud provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 male threaded mounting options for compatible lights and accessories.

Lightweight aluminum construction keeps the boom arm at just 2.98 lb while providing a practical combination of portability and support for studio or location work. Three arm sections measure 1 inch / 26 mm, 0.9 inch / 23 mm, and 0.7 inch / 19 mm in diameter.

A built-in counterweight hook allows the operator to balance mounted equipment. The included empty saddlebag-style sandbag can be used as a counterweight and supports up to 5 lb of fill for a more balanced lighting setup.
